The OBL Conspiracy
A few nights ago I watched the television in awe of the breaking news that unfolded. They said Osama bin Laden was dead. I have many unanswered questions. I was going to write a long post about everything I’m thinking, but instead I’ve decided to share links of what other people have written concerning this event.

A Week To Remember

A Week To Remember
Monday I found out that my Dad died. He was my adopted Father, but still. He treated my twin sister and I as his own. Legally we were his kids. He is who we called Dad. He knew he was dying and we got to see him a few months before he died. I am thankful that we all had a chance to see him one last time. We knew he was dying, but did not expect him to go so soon. He will always be loved and remembered. Rest in Peace Dad.
As if that were not enough…… Wednesday I experienced my first earthquake.
Wednesday I awoke early then later decided to take a nap. As I was napping I began to dream that there was an earthquake in Dallas and that it was just a forshock to a bigger earthquake. I awoke and the trailer was shaking. Everything around me was shaking. The couch I was laying on was shaking. My initial reaction was, “EARTHQUAKE!”, but I was not entirely sure it was an earthquake. I had never been in an earthquake before and besides… The area that I live in (Texoma) is not earthquake prone. Immediately after the shaking stopped I texted my cousin and asked him if he felt an earthquake. He did not feel the earthquake because he was driving. Then my Mother called me and the first words out of her mouth were, “Did you feel it?”… I said, “EARTHQUAAAAAAAAAKEE!! Yeah.. I felt it… I thought I was crazy…I didn’t think there would be an earthquake here! How’d you know?” My Mother replied, “I got a feeling to look at the TV and I put it on the Weather Channel. It was breaking news that an earthquake struck 10 miles East of Norman, Oklahoma.”

The “Ground Zero Mosque” Controversy
The following is something I posted on another blog on Aug. 31st, 2010

The “Ground Zero Mosque” Controversy
(DISCLAIMER: This is a rant.)
In the past few weeks there has been much debate over the Park51Project. This issue has my ears shooting steam. I cannot believe that Americans have protested religious freedom the way they have. I cannot believe the number of incidents that occured in coincidence with this issue over the past few weeks. Arsons of future Islamic Center sites and one’s already in existence, hate graffiti on masajid (mosques) across the country, and etc. It is very disturbing to say the least.
However, there are a few disturbing things that I have found out about the people involved with the Park51 Project thanks to this blog:http://willyloman.wordpress.com/2010/08/22/the-ground-zero-mosque-why-you-should-really-be-angry/
(PLEASE, read the link before reading further).
Regardless rather I agree with who the Imam is involved with (the Council on Foreign Relations, the Rockefeller’s, etc) does not mean that I am against the building of the community center. I think that a lot of politicians and media personalities were/are seeking to incite something in people. I do not think that it is a coincidence that the controversy got sparked during election season. People knew about the planned community center a year ago… Yet no one said anything negative then.
All the arguments over the project being “insensitive” just because it is near Ground Zero are baseless. There’s already other mosques in the area. There are sex shops close to ground zero. If you think that the place where the Burlington Coat Factory once was is “hallowed ground” you are misinformed. The proposed site is not going to be a temple of hate or terrorism. FAR FROM IT. The people who are behind the project are peaceful people, but also apparently are up the American government’s @$$. The government has funded a few of Imam Rauf’s trips overseas. Thanks to Jon Stewart we all know that some money was donated to the project via Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal — who happens to be a partner with Rupert Murdoch’s FOX NEWS (News Corp). Ironically, Fox News is the primary media outlet that has been bagging on the proposed “Ground Zero Mosque.” Coincidence?
Something very fishy is going on… To say the least. Many people suspect that “they” are trying to stir things up. Other people think that the government is trying to promote a McDonald’s brand of Islam since they cannot stop the growth of it. Despite all of the negativity regarding Islam in recent years, Islam is the fastest growing religion the world over.
Please, let me know what you’re thinking and hit me back.
I’m Back!
I was gone for a while and I even created my own website realrissa.com. That website will be shut down at midnight tonight so I’m transferring two of my posts from there and will re-post them here momentarily. I’ll also be posting my thoughts on OBL that have been formulating ever since his alleged assasination.
I’m happy to be back!
